I believe that telling our stores first to ourselves and then to one another and then the world is a revolutionary act. My paintings are the physical manifestations of my emotional responses to the life I have chosen. 

 

In my art Black bodies are centered and adorned with humanity and elements that may not be of this world. Afrosurrealism is the source of my inspiration. An idea that seeks to cultivate alternative and expanded ways of knowing and being for myself as a black person.
